The role of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to maintain the general upkeep and maintenance of company property as well as ensuring the proper execution of special projects and equipment installations. This position is also responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in the following fields:

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
1. Performs and assists in building maintenance tasks which may involve carpentry, painting, flooring, plumbing, welding, air conditioning and electrical work.
2. Perform rough framing and finish work in remodeling offices and other structures.
3. Assists in troubleshooting various electrical problems involving electrical lines, lighting, switches and controls.
4. Prepares surfaces for painting; mixes and matches paint; applies paint to a variety of building and fixture surfaces.
5. Repairs and installs floor tile, carpeting, and other flooring materials.

6. May require working weekends, holidays and other alternative schedules as assigned and participates in on-call status.

7. Prepare work orders, inspection forms, and other documents as needed.

8. Replaces lamps in light fixtures and clean fixtures.

9. Mixes, pours and forms concrete

10. Assists in performing the operation, adjustment and repair of air conditioning and heating units, fans and their components.

Required:

At least 2 years working experience in facility maintenance required
High school diploma or higher desired
